The time you become hoggish, and hope to get "lucky", is the day you give away all of your cash. Seems a bit absurd, but it seems to be true. It seems the only time I ever come away with money is when I do not care about losing it. I went to the the casino last evening with $20. I couldn’t care less about blowing it, I mean, what is 20 dollars? So can you imagine what happened? I left with one hundred and twenty dollars in profit in 2 hours!
A different occassion I was at the casino with my friend Mike. I took in 100 dollars that I couldn’t afford to lose. I got gluttonous, I got worried, and I ended up wagering too much and losing it in 30 minutes! The lesson my friends is don’t ever bet more than you can stand to squander. If you do not worry about not winning, you have a greater opportunity of winning big!
What other ways can you improve your chances of winning at Roulette other than setting a budget? Never bet on single numbers! Yes, they hit occasionally, but they don’t come up enough to guarantee a constant profit. Just wager on even wagers like black, red, odd, even, 1-18, and 19-36, and 2:1 wagers e.g. first dozen, second dozen, 3rd dozen, etc Bet on odds that pay out relatively big.
With the basics covered, how else might we further elevate our chances of succeeding at Roulette? By making probability into our friend, instead of our opposition. "You can not win at Roulette", my friend Steve would say to me. "It is completely random because any number might come up". Sure, my buddy Matt does have a point, although at the same instance, he is missing a critical aspect of the picture. I totally agree, black or red could come up thirty times in a row, but how frequently does that happen?
